Cove

Baby Covey has become the official spokescow of the Misfits Coven.

Baby Cove is one of the most special, gentle souls to ever grace our lovely Earth. Cove was surrendered to us by a Massachusetts dairy farm. Not only was he born a baby boy, which typically means being sold to slaughter, but he was born with all four contracted tendons and could not walk for the first three days of his life.

Cove has been a warrior since his first breath, so he truly fought and was able to slowly start walking — but Cove still had a hind hoof contracted and immense mobility issues, along with an infection and illness. We picked up Cove when he was around two weeks old, and it was love at first sight.

We took him straight to Cornell’s large animal hospital, where he stayed for over a month and a half, fighting off coronavirus, rotavirus, infected umbilicus, contracted tendons, etc. Covey came home in late March 2024, and he made tremendous strides in his healing and mobility — at one year old,

Cove is one of the fastest, spunkiest friends we’ve ever met. Cove’s recovery journey was long and strenuous, but he continued to stay positive and loving. Cove is the light of our lives, a friend to all, and an inspiration of perseverance and love. Cove reminds us to never lose hope, to always take action and speak up, and to let all beings know compassion and freedom.
